Factory lumps and purgings are dense, irregular and often too large for a standard beside-the-press granulator. Forcing them through the wrong machine breaks blades and gives poor regrind. ENMA heavy-duty granulators and 2-in-1 shredder-granulators are built for this duty: thick chamber, appropriate rotor and a feed system that can take a grab-fed lump.
Typical UK applications are injection and extrusion purge, start-up blocks, rejected thick-wall parts and mixed rigid scrap that must stay on site rather than going to a contractor. Output can be a coarse shred for storage or a screened granule for reuse, depending on the screen and whether you run one or two stages.
Photograph the largest lumps and tell us the polymer and how often they appear. We will say whether a GH-series granulator, a single-shaft shredder, or an ENMA CG two-in-one is the safer specification, and whether a trial on your material is worthwhile.
