Positive Pressure Conveying Systems

Positive pressure conveying systems use air from a blower position where the material is introduced. A rotary valve is often used at the point where the material is added to stop the air escaping from the line and efficiently mix the material to be conveyed with the air.

The pneumatic conveying line either terminates in a cyclone to separate the material from the conveying air, or is blown directly in a silo of other vessel where the material settles to the bottom and the escapes from the top of the vessel through a vent or a filter depending on the dust content of the material being conveyed.
