Positive pressure conveying system use air from a blower position before where the material is introduced. A rotary valve is usually used at the point where the material is added to stop the air escaping from the line and efficiently mix the material to be conveyed with the air.
The pnumatic conveying line either terminates in a cyclone to seperate the material from the conveying air, or is blown directly in a silo of other vessel where the material settles to the bottom and the escapes from the top of vessel through a vent or a filter depending on the dust content of the material being conveyed.
